When your little girls asks for a ‘Movie Awards Night’ themed party, you have to make the return gifts for the guests are in keeping with the ‘grown up’ theme! Here are a host of things that the delighted guests carried back home on the night of the Red Carpet Party.
I was looking for a grown-up, yet unisex item to give to the guests as favors. After some thought, I found the perfect thing – sunglasses! And I had no trouble finding kids sizes. Lenskart has an entire section devoted to Kids and Teens sunglasses. I was actually able to find Red and Black glasses for my theme!
Technically speaking, the sunglasses were the actual party favors. But the kids carried home more than just shades that evening.
The kids received glitter party hats and feather boas during the course of the party. At the end of all games and activities, they received their ‘awards’ in the form of personalized trophies.
And finally, as they parted, the birthday girl handed over a VIP goodie bag to each of them. Each bag contained a themed Thank You note too.
DIY VIP Goodie Bags
I had seen black cloth bags with ‘VIP’ printed on them and had my heart set on them for the party. Alas! They cost INR 200 per bag! That seemed too much for just bags but I really loved the idea of ‘VIP’ bags for the guests. So, I decided to make my own.
I designed large sized labels and got them printed from Vistaprint India. I glued them on Red and Black paper bags that I found on Amazon India. There! We had very attractive looking VIP bags for a fraction of the cost 🙂
P.S. No prizes for guessing that we played ‘Tenu Kaala Chashma Jachda Hai’ while handing over the goodie bags!
